The Hills has ended, and two nights ago the cast celebrated the final episode of the popular show at the Roosevelt hotel in Hollywood. Carlene K, Kristin Cavallari’s makeup artist, shares how she achieved Kristin’s look for the night!!

“Kristin wore a gorgeous creme colored rhinestone mini dress, so I wanted her makeup to Shine like her dress” – Carlene K
What You’ll Need:
Get the Look By Carlene K:
1. “I started out with MAKE UP FOR EVER Face and Body Foundation to even out her skin tone. The great thing about this foundation is that you can achieve light or heavy coverage by layering it. Yet it will never look cakey and heavy.”
2. “I then filled in her eyebrows with my favorite new product. SMASHBOX Brow Tech To Go. Its an angle shaped brow pencil, and on the other end has a clear brow gel to hold the eye brows in place.”
3. “On Kristin’s eyes I wanted to do an earthy smokey eye, with no black. I framed the entire eye with MAC Saddle Eyeshadow. Blended it softly into her crease, and softly underneath her eye as well. Its important when doing a smokey look, to take a color like this and blend it at the edges of a dark color, that’s how you achieve a blended smokey look and not a hard line.”
4. “I then took on of my new favorite color, NARS Galapagos Eyeshadow, A deep brown with gold glitter. I smoked her lash line all the way around. I shaded the corners of her eye lid and blended Galapagos into her crease as well. This color is a Must Have and is amazing for Smokey Eyes.”
5. “I lined Kristin’s eye pretty heavily with URBAN DECAY Bourbon 24/7 Eye pencil. I smudged it across her top lash line, into the corner and on her inner rim.”
6. “I used URBAN DECAY Half Baked Eye Shadow on her inner corners to highlight her eyes and blended it onto her eyelid. This gives a beautiful golden glow to the whole eye.”
7. “I finished the eye of course with great lashes. I used ARDELL “Fairies”, and SMASHBOX Hyperlash Mascara.”
8. “To give her that golden glow, I used URBAN DECAY Baked Bronzer on her forehead, cheeks, nose and chin.”
9. “I used MAC Golden Bronze Loose Shimmer powder, on her cheekbones and blended it lightly onto her cheeks.”
10. “For Kristins sexy nude pout, I used URBAN DECAY Wallflower 24/7 lip pencil and MAC Cherish lipstick, the perfect every day nude lipstick.”
11. “To finish the entire look. of course I used CARLENE K Shine Bronzer all over her body. www.carlenekcosmetics.com“

Get the Look: EASY Easter Makeup Idea!
Rachel McAdams’ Purple Eyeshadow
I love this look on Rachel McAdams!! She wore it several years ago but the blond hair and pastel eyeshadow were definitely working for her. If you’re looking for a simple, yet pretty look for Easter Sunday, follow these easy steps!!
What You Need:
Sheer Coverage Foundation or Tinted Moisturizer
Concealer
Pale Pink Blush
Pastel Purple Eyeshadow
Brown Eyeliner
Black Lengthening Mascara
Dusty Rose Lipgloss
.
Get The Look:
1. After you’ve prepped your skin with moisturizer, go ahead and apply your foundation. I suggest using a sheer coverage foundation because Rachel’s skin looks like skin! It’s not caked with tons of makeup, it’s glowy and fresh, but still evened out.
2. If you have bad skin, or several breakouts, go in with a heavier concealer and spot-treat your imperfections. Need help? Check out my “how to cover a pimple” tutorial
here!
3. Lightly dust the apples of your cheeks with a pale pink blush. Try Maybelline’s Expert Wear Blush in Gentle Rose.
4. Comb and fill-in your eyebrows as needed. Use a powder eyeshadow applied with an angled brush, instead of a pencil, for a more natural look, like Rachel’s.
5. With a dense eyeshadow brush (which packs on color better), pick up some lilac colored eyeshadow and sweep it across your eyelid. Use a fluffier blending brush to buff out the edges to ensure that you don’t have any hard lines. We just want a just light wash of color, not an intense streak.
**Tip: Makeup Artist, Pat McGrath used Covergirl’s Purple Pop eyeshadow to create Versace’s Spring/Summer 2010 look during Milan Fashion Week. It’s the perfect lilac-y purple for this look and it’s budget-friendly!
6. With a smaller shadow brush, apply the same purple to your lower lashline and then line your waterline with a brown eyeliner pencil.
7. Apply several coats of lengthening mascara to your lashes. You’ll want to get the mascara as close to the base of your lashes as possible to give clear definition to your eyes.
8. Last but not least, coat your lips with a duty rose lipgloss. NARS’ Dolce Vita lipstick with a clear gloss over it would be an almost a perfect match to Rachel’s lips!

Let Me Know How it Goes!
Valentine’s Day Makeup Idea
Get the Look: Kim and Khloe Kardashian

Happy Valentine’s Day!! You might have your outfit picked out, but what about your face? Whether you’re spending the night with your significant other, or attending an “F Valentine’s Day” party, this look is perfect for tonight!
.
What You’ll Need
Luminizing Foundation
Concealer or Under-Eye Brightener
Matte Bronzer
Black Eyeliner
Brown Eyeshadow
Black Mascara
Your Favorite Red Lipstick!
.
Get the Look
1. Apply a luminizing foundation all over your face. One with a dewier finish (Face Atelier has an awesome one) will look best. If you don’t have another foundation on hand, mix a little moisturizer in with your current formula. It will sheer it out and give you that same glow.
2. Take a matte bronzer and lightly apply to your forehead, cheekbones, and chin. This frames your face and give you a healthy, sun-kissed look that compliments red lips beautifully.
3. Next, apply your under-eye concealer or brightener. Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Eclat is the most popular for brightening and illumining underneath your eyes.
4. Now it’s time for eyeshadow! In the pictures of Kim and Khloe, it’s hard to see what color eyeshadow they have on, but it looks like a matte beige/brown. MAC’s Soft Brown eyeshadow would be perfect for this, just to give a little bit of contour to the eyes. Sweep the shadow across your whole eyelid and blend well into the crease.
5. When it comes to eyeliner, you have two options: jet black eyeliner
rimmed all the way around the entire eye (see Khloe), or a single black line on the upper eyelid (see Kim).
Tip: If you have small eyes, go for Kim’s look. Black all the way around will close in your eyes, making them look even smaller.
Kim: To get Kim’s eyeliner, draw a thin line on your upper eyelid with a black or brown pencil. Smudge out the line with a Q-Tip to soften. You can leave your lower lid free of liner, OR run your same matte brown eyeshadow under the eye with a small brush to give a bit of definition without creating a hard line.
Khloe: For Khloe’s look, take a jet black eyeliner pencil or gel and rim your entire eye. MAC’s Smolder eye pencil would be great for this. Don’t forget to line your lower waterline also!
6. Lashes!! Coat your eyelashes with 2-3 coats of a volumizing formula. for added drama, try false lashes. It will give your eyes a little extra oomph.
7. Last but not least, apply your red lipstick! With red lips, I always make sure to start with lipliner. It helps to keep the color from bleeding, and will give you a cleaner line. Kim’s lips are matte, whereas Khloe’s are glossy. The choice is up to you!

GREAT REDS I RECOMMEND

Get the Look: Jennifer Hudson
Holiday Makeup Idea!

I LOVE Jennifer Hudson’s makeup in this picture! I think it was for the Grammy’s, but the silvery smokey eye would be perfect to add a little bit of pizazz to your holiday makeup. Whether you are going to a company party, Christmas Eve dinner, or ringing in the New Year with friends, this sexy look will set you above the rest!
What You Need:
Silver Eyeshadow or Pigment
Matte Black Eyeshadow
Matte Chocolate Brown Eyeshadow
Black Eyeliner Pencil
False Eyelashes (Medium Length)
Shimmery Mauve Lipgloss
.
How To Get The Look:
1. Start out with your foundation or tinted moisturizer. Add a drop or two of luminizing lotion to add a healthy glow to your skin. Smashbox’s Artificial Light and MAC’s Strobe Cream are great for this technique.
2. Take your silver eyeshadow and begin to apply it to the inner half of your eye. Look at the diagram below, the red dotted line shows where you should carry the silver to. I like to use a firm flat brush to “pack” the color on. It will show up more vibrant this way. Do not go past your crease with the eyeshadow.
3. Add a little touch of the silver to the inner corner of your eyes (near the tear ducts!) It brightens your eyes and looks amazing.
4. Now, take a matte black eyeshadow and apply to the outer half of your eye, picking up where the silver leaves off. Extend the shadow out a little past your eye and blend well into the silver with a clean blending brush.
5. Once your silver and black shadows have been blended, take a matte chocolate brown eyeshadow on a clean brush and lightly contour your crease. Use the windshield wiper motion, back and forth. On the diagram, the yellow line shows where to apply the brown. Up until this point, you shouldn’t have gone past your natural crease with the other shadows, so now is the time to give it a little definition and to make your eyes pop.
6. Take your black eyeliner (pencil, gel, liquid, it’s up to you!) and line the upper eyelid, don’t worry about getting it too perfect because you’ll be adding lashes on top of it.
7. Now it’s time for the falsies! Apply these to your eye, and wait for them to dry completely before moving on.
8. Once the eyelash glue has dried, go BACK over the strip with your black eyeliner. This will help to hide fake eyelash band, and will define your eyes even more. Also apply two to three coats of black mascara to plump them up a bit.
9. Next, line your lower lash line with the same black eyeliner and smudge softly with a q-tip, just so the line doesn’t look too harsh. Don’t forget to line your waterline too! Jennifer’s lower eyeliner is not dramatic or too smokey, so just a little definition will do.
10. Sweep a plum or berry colored blush on your cheekbones.
11. Apply a shimmery mauve lipgloss like Jennifer’s, or make the look your own by wearing your favorite lip color! Nudes, burgundy’s and berry’s would all look stunning with this silver, smokey eye!

Get the Look: Victoria Secret Angeles
Look Like a Victoria Secret Model!
The Victoria Secret Angels strutted their stuff on the runway yesterday at the annual Victoria Secret Fashion Show in New York City. As usual, the ladies looked flawless, fresh and gorgeous. While I do not know exactly what was used on the models, the look is very easy to recreate, and chances are you already have the products necessary to give Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio and Selita Ebanks a run for their money!
What You’ll Need:
Light/Medium Coverage Foundation
Pink Shimmery Highlight
Pink Shimmery Blush
Off-White Pearly Eyeshadow
Soft Brown of Grey Eyeshadow
Individual Eyelashes
Eyelash Curler
Volumizing Mascara
Light Pink/Raspberry Lipgloss
Get The Victoria Secret Angel Look:
1. Start out with clean, moisturized skin. This look is very fresh, so prepping your skin is essential to make the make the makeup glide on smoothly.
2. Apply a light to medium coverage foundation to the center of your face and blend outward with a duo fiber brush (think MAC 187 brush). To achieve that little bit of dewiness, mix a liquid highlight into your foundation before applying. If you can find Revlon Skinlights, they work amazing to give your skin a touch of radiance.
3. Apply a pink shimmer to your cheekbones, forehead and the center of your nose. Smashbox’s Softlights or MAC’s Mineralized Skinfinishes work perfectly.
4. Dust a shimmery pink blush to the apples of your cheeks.
5. The eyes are smokey but still very subdued. Take a semi pearly off-white eyeshadow (Try CoverGirl’s Champagne eyeshadow) and apply to your whole eyelid. Apply a soft brown or grey shadow and accentuate your crease to give definition. Blend well.
6. Take a small, tapered eyeshadow brush and apply the same pearly off-white shadow to the lower lash line, focusing more on the inner corners of your eyes. This opens up the eye area and makes your eyes appear larger and brighter.
7. With a grey or brown eyeliner, lightly line the top and bottom eyelid I prefer to use an eyeshadow with an eyeliner brush for looks like this. It gives off a softer effect. We don’t want harsh lines! If you do use a pencil, soften the line with a q-tip.

8. Apply several individual false lashes along your lashline to give you that extra bit of oomph. Long, fluttery eyelashes can give off the perfect Victoria Secret “come hither” look.
9. Curl your lashes and apply several coats of black, volumizing mascara.
10. Top it all off with a light pink gloss on your lips! Try NARS lipgloss in “Frisky Summer” or Lancome’s Juicy Tube in “Miracle”
