Lady Gaga Inspired Makeup Tutorial
So, I am going to be Lady Gaga for Halloween because I’m kind of obsessed with her.
Anyway, I was deciding on how to do my makeup and wanted to make a tutorial because I know a lot there are going to be a lot of Gagas out there this Halloween.

Apply your foundation. In the Poker Face video, Lady Gaga’s skin is very smooth and even so I would recommend a medium/full coverage one. I used MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid. Next, lightly powder to set the foundation under your eyes and on your eyelids.
\
Apply a highlighter to the top of your cheekbones to make them stand out. Blend it in with a brush or a sponge. I used Smashbox’s artificial light (my favorite highlighter!!).

Next, apply an eyeshadow base. For this look, I pat on MAC’s paint in Pixel with my finger. Its a sheer silver color and great base for this look.
Next, I applied Makeup Forever’s silver from the Flash Color Palette to my eyelid. This step isn’t necessary, but it will help to grab the silver eyeshadow you put on next, and it will make it more vibrant.

Next, I applied a bright silver eyeshadow with a firm brush. Pat on the eyeshadow and don’t worry about blending just yet. Make sure you get enough color to look vibrant and dramatic. I used Yaby’s silver pearl paint.

Now, take a clean and fluffy brush to blend the silver. Use the windshield wiper motion with your brush on the shadow. Make sure it’s blended well.

Next, apply a dark grey or black eyeshadow to the outer crease and blend, blend, blend! I used MUFE’s black eyeshadow and applied it very lightly so it didn’t get too dark.

Now apply your top eyeliner! I love MAC’s blacktrack fluidline with an angled eyeliner brush. You can use a pencil, a liquid liner etc. As long as you get a dark, straight black line. I extended the liner a little out past my eye because I wanted to elongate my eyes a bit.

For the bottom eyeliner I’m using the same angled liner brush. I like to use eyeshadow as bottom liner because it looks softer. I applied the same MUFE black eyeshadow to the outer corner of my eye and Yaby’s silver pearl paint to the inner corner.

Line your outer waterline with a black pencil.
Line the inner waterline with a white pencil to open up the inside of your eyes.

Fill in the brows! I use a NYC’s browser kit and apply the brow shadow with an angled brush.

Dip a q-tip in a shimmery white or silver eyeshadow and place it in the inner corners of your eyes (near the tear ducts)
.
Load up your lashes with a black mascara. I, of course, used L’Oreal’s Voluminous mascara in carbon black. I applied about about 3-4 coats.
I already have naturally long lashes so didn’t apply fake ones, but if your lashes aren’t very long, consider using falsies! They really open up your eye and give you extra drama!

Apply a very light, nude gloss. I used MAC C-Thru Lipglass mixed with a little bit of Babied Lip Lacquer.

Put on your costume and have fun!!

Hey girl,
This blog is not associated with the makeup school. Sorry!
If you are looking for a job doing makeup in television, start looking for makeup artists to assist in order to get your foot in the door.
